Join us and other Honors College members throughout the weeked at a variety of events. It's a special week of fun and celebrating Honors!
Homecoming
SHC partcipates in events, activities, and the parade as a group to celebrate Homecoming!
Haunted Honors House
Celebrate Halloween at the frightening Honors House of Horrors. Last year's event had over 500 visitors!
Family Weekend Backyard Bash
The Honors College celebartes Family Weekend with a cookout in the backyard. Bring your family for food, fun, and games to chat with friends and professors. Let your family see what the honors experience is all about!
NCHC & MEHA
The National Collegiate Honors College Conference and the MidEast Honors Association Conference take place in October and April, respectively. Represent BSU by attending or, better yet, present your own research and take advantage of this résumé building experience!
Curriculum Crash Course
An exciting new event where honors students can preview honors courses for the next semester. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know professors and find the perfect honors class!

Tuesday Meetings
Join us every Tuesday at 8PM in the garage of the honors house for our weekly meetings! We will be planning events, professional development, member appreciation, and other regular activities. We will be focusing on making meetings fun as well as beneficial to students and to the Honors College.
Service Projects
SHC will be organizing service projects at least once a month. These will be driven by member involvement. SHC is about giving back to Ball State, the Honors College, and to the community!
Member Appreciation
Officers will arrange fun activities to thank our regular members for their dedication to SHC! Past activities have included pizza parties, game nights, and excursions like laser tag!
Season of Giving Dance
An idea developed during the elections of the SHC officers, the first Honors College Season of Giving Dance took place in 2015. Each year, SHC donates hundreds of cans of food to Second Harvest Food Bank, and has fun dancing the night away!
Holiday Party
The annual Holiday Party is hosted in honor of our excellent Honors professors and administrators and takes place before the end of the fall semester. Music, food, games, and party favors all make for a special event to show the professors how much their work means to us!
Honors Formal
Every spring, SHC hosts the Honors Formal, a fancy night full of dancing, food, and music! Get dressed up with your friends and dance the night away! Past formals include the masquerade gala and the stardust ball!
Civic Reflections
SHC members, trained by students from Valporasio University, are able to lead conversations with the community on topics related to the Honors Humanities. Civic reflections events are being planned for spring and fall 2017!
